It’s a big day for veterans in southwest Louisiana
In a rare display of bipartisanship, Congress is likely to move quickly to approve a compromise bill to retool the Veterans Administration and improve veterans’ health care. The House could vote today on a 17-billion dollar bill unveiled by the House and Senate veterans’ affairs committees. U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu and U.S. Representative Charles Boustany said earlier this week, the funding would include Va clinics in Lake Charles and Lafayette.
