It wasn’t too long ago that I made some comments about the case in Connecticut where the 17 year-old girl did not want to take chemotherapy for a lymphoma. The doctors were persistent and they took it to court. She actually ran away and they went out and captured her and brought her back. Her mother wants her to do what she wants. Her mother supports her in the decision not to take the chemo.

It’s a big day for veterans in southwest Louisiana
In a rare display of bipartisanship, Congress is likely to move quickly to approve a compromise bill to retool the Veterans Administration and improve veterans’ health care. The House could vote today on a 17-billion dollar bill unveiled by the House and Senate veterans’ affairs committees. U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu and U.S. Representative Charles Boustany said earlier this week, the funding would include Va clinics in Lake Charles and Lafayette.
