The festival will feature carnival rides, food booths, a silent auction, a jambalaya cook off, bingo, and live entertainment. Admission is Free. Carnival ride bracelets will be pre-sold at the school for a discounted rate prior to the festival or full price during the festival.
Costumes, music and spectacular performances throughout The Big Easy as the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival fills downtown from the end of April until the beginning of May.
The festival features an incredibly diverse lineup of talented musicians from around the world performing across several stages throughout the five-day affair. In addition to enjoying the live music, guests can peruse arts and crafts booths displaying unique items including sculpture, jewelry, fine art, instruments and pottery. Everyone is family at this lively event that encourages visitors and locals alike to learn about French and Caribbean heritage and take part in this grand celebration.

Krewe des Gratis will host a gumbo cook-off at 10a.m. when the teams will begin cooking and a parade at 2p.m. ending at Knights of Columbus Hall where the gumbo judging will begin at 3p.m. Vinton Mardi Gras will have free gumbo tasting after the judging.
